• This (coming soon) is a recording of my panel "Creative Dissent" at the Sydney Writers' Festival. In the recording I host a panel discussion with Charles Firth (author of American Hoax and founding member of the Chaser), Ozi Batla (The Herd and Astronomy Class), Antony Loewenstein (author of My Israel Question and The Blogging Revolution) and Alecia Simmonds (PhD candidate at Sydney University) about the way creative communities challenge the status quo.
We talk, for about an hour and a half, about the ways different forms of art (like music and comedy) can be used to influence politics. We also discuss the problems of interpretation, the rise in blogging, and the history of creative dissent in Australia.
This audio was recorded by the Museum of Contemporary Art and they have full copyright over it.
• This is a story I did for Hack on JJJ about the death of a young man - Joel Exner - who died working on a building site. [mp3]
